Christ Church Choir rehearses on Thursday evenings at 7:15 p.m. in the choir room and sings regularly at the 11:00 a.m. Choral Eucharist September through Trinity Sunday (May/June). Highlights of the year include a choral prelude before the Christmas Eve Eucharist and rich offerings during Holy Week services. In late November and on the last Sunday of Epiphany, the choir performs a mass with soloists and chamber orchestra in the service. The choir sings music from all traditions but concentrates on the best from Anglican and modern American literature. We are always ready to welcome keen volunteers and occasionally have open positions for staff singers. Please contact Dr. Walton for more information. The 3-manual, 68-stop Létourneau pipe organ, Op. 96 (2007), is widely acknowledged to be the finest instrument in southwest Florida and one of the premier instruments in the southeastern United States. Weekly worship services at Christ Church are enriched by this wonderful instrument. The organ is at the core of Christ Church’s well-rounded and comprehensive music program and concert series. Christ Church also has a smaller organ in the Chapel, Op. 18A, built by Dan Jaeckel of Duluth, MN.

This family service is led by four team leaders who rotate Sundays to deliver difference flavors of contemporary music worship styles to the congregation. The teams are made up of unauditioned volunteer singers and instrumentalists who are called to lead in the ministry. Rehearsals are 7:45am on each Sunday in the Upper Room prior to the 9:00am church service.

The Jubilate Bell Choir began in 1989 with the gift of three octaves of Schulmerich handbells by the parishioner, Dr. Betty G. Odell. Shortly thereafter, a three-octave set of choir chimes was purchased, providing additional color and variety to our musical offerings. The handbell choir rehearses weekly, September through May, and performs at the 11:00 a.m. service on the first Sunday of each month. Special music for Christmas Eve and Easter and other festival services is also provided. New ringers are always welcome–teenagers to adults. No experience is necessary, although it is helpful if you can read simple musical rhythms. For information contact Cecilia McEnaney by calling the church office.
